Rainbow

Rainbow, so rare, so ... stunning. I could not resist its beauty.

It desired my attention and I pretended not to notice it.

Yet at the same time, at the corner of my eyes, it's like a forbidden place, myths or fairytale mentioned that a pot of gold beholds at the end of the rainbow...

Even fairytales know that it's impossible to reach the pot of gold. It's just too good to be true. And they say it too - fairytales are for dreamers.

I'm a dreamer. It's fine. I'll wait silently for the rainbow to appear every now and then. I'm satisfied.

WAHAHAHHAHA YOGES~~!!!! DISTRACT ME FROM ALL THE RAINBOWS PLEASE!~~~ LOL!!!!

One life Live it

It was chance. I bumped into her. After work, at Clementi MRT station. She, the one who changed my life, was still as hearty, as cheerful, as loud haha. She is Wei Xin Momma. Give it to momma~ Oops.

Yes, and we bantered. I was complaining about NS life and she retorted humorously that "开心也要活,不开心也要活,不如就开开心心的活。"Joseph Phang once said something synonymous as well. It's so simple. It's just a decision away. It's happiness.

During my next shift, which was yesterday, I mused about what she said. Indeed, I was happy and I realised that ultimately, the world can go against me, but it's me who can give myself happiness.

My dearest brother who is in Australia informed me that he bought for me an ipod touch. I heard of it but never knew its function. Maybe I'll figure it out real soon. But actually I'm happy just to have YES 933 accompany through the day. It's really the thought that counts. I never thought that I meant so much to him, neither the other way round. Maybe our childhood fights are indelible albeit they are still poignant everytime I think of them, yet as we matured, I see that my family has a profound place in my heart.

I'm thankful. I have found solace in words and people around me. Ruminating about how NS made me suffer is superfluous, since it will not change the fact that I have to serve two years of mandatory NS. It may be a distasteful episode in my life, but I have decided to make it a happy one!

Thank you everyone! *SENDS FLYING KISSES*

Ladder

Bernard once shared with me this:

For a love relationship to last, it should start off as friendship. As time goes by, you see the good and the bad of the person, then if both parties like each other, then proceed to the dating phase. During this period of time, there ought to be commitment from both parties. After a period of time, if both are comfortable and willing, then they can advance to become steady boyfriend/girlfriend.

However very often, we get tempted by factors which urge us to skip perhaps the friendship or dating stage. But think back - have you ever wished that your relationship was like last time when it was at the friendship or dating stage? The sweet times, the heart-warming times when you smile just seeing his/her sms, when you save his/her chat logs and re-read it again, when you anonymously signed his/her tagboard?

I really think that I want to have a good friendship and dating with whoever I find is the right partner for me. It's difficult and risky to just jump into a relationship because of physical attraction.

Just hope that this serves as a good lesson for us. Thanks Ber Ber~ Haha~

Relationship

There was a wife who was giving birth to a baby. She screamed and wailed and her husband was by her side. After giving birth successfully, she was perspiring and her tears were all mixed with her sweat, her hair was all in a mess, she looked pale, she looked awful. Yet, her husband said, "Dear, you looked awesome." She smiled.

I just want to emphasize that lying does not necessarily means hypocrisy. From the above story, the wife herself knew that she looked awful. But she also knew that it was out of love, care and concern that her husband said that.

How would you feel if one day, you dedicate your favourite song to your special someone, and then he told you directly that he didn't like the song? Do you think that that special someone is sensitive enough or just trying not to be a hypocrite by pretending that he liked the song? Could he have chosen another approach to deal it? And is it really so important that he must tell you that he does not like the song?

Most of us in this modern era are not as simple to talk to as people last time. We are trained to sense sarcasm, as well as to throw hidden knives in our speech. However, are we always right? When someone apologise after making a mistake, will you take it as sarcasm? Well, I guess it all depends on your relation with the other person. Let's say it's an acquaintance - there might be a high chance the apology was not sincere and that he was just being sarcastic. But what if the person is your special one? Will you doubt the person and assume that the person is definitely being sarcastic? Even if the other person is really sarcastic, what approach can we use to handle it so as to keep the peace?

I always try to keep the peace as much as I can, unless someone manage to provoke me to the point that I use vulgarities. Then you know it's a sour relationship that is hard to salvage.

Is there really a reward and punishment system working in relationship? I do not believe in that. Come on time to meet me and u get to have dinner with me as your reward. Come late and you will be punished by eating alone and go home yourself. If your relationship is like that, do you even want it? Get a dog.

To me, love is more than two person being together. There must be happiness, accomodation, respect and communication. There is bound to be times when the person hindered your work, wasted your time, ruin your birthday party, etc. The question is - can you accept it?

And how would you feel if you delayed your special someone's jogging time, and he ignored you for the next one hour, leaving you crying by the pool and then come and talk to you like an adult? Is this love or life?

At the end of the day, when you ask the other person "Do you still love me?", what would he say? He may be silent, but yes, you know you will be waiting for a reply, and when nothing is said, you know it's over.

It's heart warming when I look at married adults, ten, twenty, thirty, forty years old marriage. All the hurdles they had been through, trust had allowed them to make it through the rain and storm. And as for my parents, it's us, their children, that kept them together. And I'm proud of that.

pisang goreng

hoho i was making pisang goreng with my mom~ only a few. but wahahahaa fun~

tadahh~~

ONE FOR ONE DOLLAR!

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT - LIMITED EDITION.

QuArAnTiNeD!

My job is to sleep, eat, take temperature, and play to my heart's content. It's simple. It's enjoyable.

I was given an official home quarantine order by MOH.

On 19th night to 20th day, I worked with two colleagues for about 8 hours. One of them was confirmed with H1N1. That night he had fever. So I was quarantined.

Good thing is that it's unrecorded leave. I did mention to my team leader that I rather they take my leave than to take MC as I did not want it to affect my grades. Oh well~ Good that it's unrecorded leave! Blessing in disguise.

Just hope that I don't get H1N1 now. But I had already prepared the items to bring with me if I were to get it *CHOY TOUCH WOOD*~ It's good to be prepared. Currently I'm fine, thank you for all your concern, albeit I did not receive no flowers nor get well soon cards.

LOL! Ok July is coming! Can't wait!! And oh ya, my quarantine ends on 27th. Do date me out yea. =)
